The Aoraki Rugby League final was played today between the Country Cowboys and the Ashburton Barbarians, as a curtainraiser to the Heartland Rugby game at Alpine Energy Stadium, Timaru. The Cowboys took out the Duncan McGregor Cup with a 40-18 win over the Barbarians.
